We are continually learning. We move in and out of the process many times in a day, a week, a year.
For some, learning is a wondrous experience that is approached with curiosity, enthusiasm and confidence. For others the process is arduous, challenging and full of obstacles.
Learning spaces are not tied to time or physicality. Continuing my own learning journey, I have entered another learning space – the online. It has challenged, created obstacles and at times been arduous. But with the involvement of strong communities of practice I now enter the space with curiosity, enthusiasm and at times confidence.
My challenge now is how to take this knowledge, and the skills learnt, to new learning spaces and new learning networks. This blog explores learning spaces and how as an educator in the 21st century, I can create spaces that learners are willing to enter, stay for a while and emerge with increased understanding, knowledge and capability.
