The learning process

Before looking to the environment, content, context and resources, exploring the 'how' and 'what' someone requires to learn is important.

The first step - motivation...

Historically teachers have looked to pedagogy for the answers. Andragogy (theories of adult learning) provides compelling evidence that the teacher's role may be ready for a makeover. The teacher is no longer central to learning, the learner also has responsibility for, and ownership of the process.

Undertaking the journey to becoming a 21st century educator, I am challenged to explore different learning spaces. The community of practice begins by mapping personal experiences of self direction, self reflection and importantly the influence of positive and negative mindsets.

The goal is to "provide the conditions in which they can learn" ~ Einstein.

Next step - is it me, you, them or us?
